Kathleen Edwards: Live From the Bowery Ballroom kathleen edwards latest is a five track ep, with three live audio tracks on one side and two dvds on the other.  the audio tracks are a couple of the better known ones from her album "failer" - "national steel" and "hockey skates" - plus a cover of ac/dc's "money talks, while the dvds are the videos for "six o'clock news" and "one more song the radio won't like". the "failer" tracks are somewhat more understated and subtle than on the album, and consequently work rather better, as well as emphasising her writing and performing talent, but the ac/dc song is rather rocking by numbers. crowd sounds are virtually inaudible, which gives the whole thing the sound of one of the 70s ogwt sessions.  the videos aren't bad, but not really worth the price of admission in their own right. for starters and completists only. jeremy searle americana-uk.com				Album reviews Feature articles Interviews Show reviews
