Kathleen Edwards - Failer Although still relatively unknown and unsigned, the buzz around Canadian alt. country singer Kathleen Edwards means it's a question of when, not if, she'll breakout stateside. If the 23-year-old's debut album is anything to go by, she's Lucinda Williams minus the twang but with a realism far beyond her years on tracks like "One More Song The Radio Won't Like" and "Lone Wolf". Whether it's the downbeat and brilliant "National Steel" or the brief trumpet on the uptempo "12 Bellevue," Edwards delivers each song with a down-to-earth style rarely seen in today's music.
