2007/04/29  Pengrowth Saddledome; Calgary, AB ...   Opening the show for Mayer was Ottawa's Kathleen Edwards, whose sleepy, country-folk acoustic set was pleasant and intimate, (and ideal for say, A Bar Named Sue) but ill-suited for the massive Saddledome. Though she always sounds better live than on record, her subdued sound wasn't right to kickstart a night of music, and from my line of sight, I wasn't the only one who couldn't stop yawning.
