Kathleen Edwards feels 'really good' about new recording Kathleen Edwards feels "really good" about her third album, "Asking For Flowers," which she released last year and which was nominated for the prestigious Polaris Music Prize. But she's disappointed in the way it was handled. "I don't feel like my recording company got behind the album," says the Canadian singer-songwriter. "That's probably something every artist feels and says, but I really feel like that's the case here. "The good thing is that I didn't do something I didn't want to do and then be stuck with it. I had an amazing time making it and incredible time touring it, and I still feel like it's my best work." Following what she calls a "challenging year" in her personal life, Edwards, 30, is also starting to hunker down on her next album. Given the 2- to 3-year gaps between her releases she's not sure when it will come out, but she acknowledges that she's "definitely ready to get back in the studio to write." "I've been on the road so much that it's been hard for me to actually finish songs," Edwards says. "I'd like to get right back in the studio and make a record as soon as I get home. I'm hoping the next few months I'll be disciplined enough to work on stuff and have something done sooner rather than later."
