eminem sure knows how to deliver a catchy chorus, even if it is about hating your mother.

7. what is the worst job you've ever had?
would you consider being a musician employment? hostessing at pizza hut were some dark days.

dionne warwick's greatest hits is on the turntable. talk talk's spirit of eden is in the cd player, along with aimee mann's new album (it's excellent) and i never drive the suburban without my ac/dc's back in black.

10. what is your beverage of choice?
makers mark damn nice bourbon

11. name a book that you would consider a favourite?
i do love john irving, so a prayer for owen meany is up there. but i think dave eggers' a heartbreaking work of staggering genius is the best book jim bryson ever recommended.

12. what is the biggest risk you've taken?
once i called up all these clubs across canada, booked shows, drove my suburban over a period of six weeks from ottawa to victoria. i played maybe 13 shows. i had no money when i left home, had no guarantees, had no hotels booked, had no company. i slept in my truck in tim horton's parking lots. i guess you could consider that risky, although my parents thought that it was just plain stupid.

13. who is your member of parliament?
not sure, i live in quebec and we live in a backwards kind of place, i spend more time finding out who supplies wood and who plows the road. but if i could choose anyone, it would have to be my brother because he can bullshit his way out of everything.

14. what is it, that you most dislike?
spiders big hairy ones

15. what is your credo in life?
not to answer questions that get too personal. ya right!
